Planned on site IT systems maintenance
This is a service 1Com has introduced in the last two years.
Its objective is to agree that each of an organisations locations would benefit from approximately two separate days, per year, of on site visits by an appropriate technician to carry out essential maintenance that cannot be done by remote control but do not need immediate response.
This might include
- Checking network performance
- Reviewing security procedures
- Test restoring a backup
- Installing the latest service pack updates
- and generally checking that user’s PC’s are working properly
These days are booked in advance ensuring that they do not clash with holiday commitments or other resource commitments.
